Where we started
Essential Dental was founded in 2020 by Angelica and Vinnie Braithwaite, a father-daughter duo. Together, they set out to build a business rooted in quality, honesty, and personal service.
Vinnie spent decades working for all the major companies as a equipment repair technician, developing a reputation for precision and integrity. When he approached Angelica about starting something together, she immediately said "Yes!". Together the two of them became trained in dental handpiece repairs, and the rest is history!

Trained at the bench beside her dad, Angelica now runs Essential Dental hands-on. She still repairs handpieces herself and keeps the shop focused on honest estimates, precise work, and service that’s easy to say yes to. From repairs to everyday supplies, we’ve got you covered.

Our history
Before Essential Dental ever opened its doors, Vinnie and Angelica Braithwaite already shared a quiet bond built around tools, hard work, and time spent side by side. Long before they became business partners, they were a father and daughter spending their weekends practicing taking door knobs on and off. (Long story, ask Angelica to explain it to you!)
Those moments weren’t just childhood memories — they were the beginning of something bigger. As the years passed, their bond grew stronger, rooted in mutual respect and a shared curiosity for how things worked. In 2020, they turned that bond into a business, combining Vinnie’s 20+ years of experience as a dental equipment technician with Angelica’s drive and fresh perspective.
In 2024, my dad, Vinnie, passed away after a year-long battle with cancer. Though he is no longer with us, everything we built together remains at the heart of Essential Dental.
